What kind of trees do we have? Good question. We have
Scotch and White Pines in the ground as well as Douglas Fir, Blue
Spruce, Norway Spruce, and Fraser Fir. There are new fields
of Canaan firs that are at about 4-5 right now and will be of cutting
height over the next few years. For folks with higher
ceilings we bring in taller fresh-cut trees: Fraser Firs and taller
Douglas and Blue Spruce, and the new Concolor Fir.
A tradition at the Sell Farm is the arrival of the Fresh Cut trees
on or near Thanksgiving. Now, the 3rd generation of the family and
some of the employees gather to unload the semi-trailer of trees.
Last year it only took 2 hours! We want to ensure that there is
a selection of fine tree types that don't grow in this region for
our customers to select.

White pine with some smaller blue spruce
For those of you looking for large trees to fill up
that family room, we have 'em! There are especially large
Scotch Pines that are well over 10 feet and have a very large girth.
